A Napoli la si trova spesso in versione bianca (senza pomodoro) e viene chiamata anche contadina, se fatta bene (logicamente) delizia ogni tipo di palato, vegetariani e non, un miracolo!

Ingredienti condimento: Pomodoro (opzionale), Mozzarella, funghi, melanzane, zucchine, peperoni e basilico.

See you next pizza-week! :)

[after an absolute age, here is the first few photos of Italy, from earlier this year. we started out in Naples. it was hot, dirty, chaotic and beautiful. the people were so genuine and friendly and the food was to.die.for. i think it might even be my favourite place that i have .ever. travelled to]

[a crop out out a 15 photo panorama that was just too big to post here. this was the view from our hotel,  mt vesuvius to the left, castel dell’ovo in the middle and capris to the right. stunning.]

[a peak out the window with my holga -from the first roll still, where you can see the winding cliff road that our hotel was perched on, and a hazy vesuvius in the background]

[oh, you know, just a castle built into the cliff side. dime a dozen here, apparently]

[there were buildings like this everywhere near where we stayed. brilliant leafy jungle-gardens surrounding very old Italian buildings clinging to -or built into, the cliff side with narrow winding cobbled streets running down to the sea]

[this is the new city of ercolano, built directly on top of the buried city herculanium, which was the first to be destroyed when vesuvio blew its top in 79AD. we made a day trip here from naples.]

[looking down into herculaneum. this place was amazing and really quite sad.]

[you can’t go to Italy and not sample the local cuisine. the pizza in naples is the best i have ever tasted.]

[a dusky sunset over the city after an unbelievably hot day, miles of walking and multiple gelati. i will definitely be back here.]

[moonrise on our last night in naples, and a freakin’ amazing start to the trip. stay posted for rome, florence, venice and if you’re lucky, maybe a little bit of paris too]
