This is some graffiti down the street from my apartment. Coming here I had the notion that the Milan would be like the pictures of Italy… a picturesque renaissance city not expecting there to be something so modern and urban as graffiti. At first I thought that it ruined these beautiful old buildings that had clearly been here for centuries, but now I’ve come to see it as a symbol of Milan. The mix of the history and beauty of the Italian past and the very modern urbanity of this city.
